2025 STATS:
In 2025, studies and economic forecasts suggest inflation is a major concern. Post-pandemic, many companies are reckoning with virtual environments, new operational procedures, changes in staffing, and a lack of motivation.
This time in history has been coined, “The Great Resignation” — an ongoing economic trend in which employees have voluntarily resigned from their jobs. In
March 2025, layoff announcements surged, reaching the highest level since the pandemic, with a 205% increase compared to 2024.
Approximately 20% of small businesses fail within their first year, with that number rising to around 50% within the first five years, and 65% within 10 years.
I’ve noticed that there is something fundamentally missing in the traditional workplace model. We have to start adapting to our times and stop doing “business-as-usual.” Having run a multi-million dollar business and silently suffered in my own life, I’ve noticed:
Employees need more training and motivation. Many haven’t been taught how to identify inefficiencies and implement systems that will help them and the company improve. They could use an outside perspective so they can learn new distinctions and operational procedures that will support their day-to-day tasks and operations.
Small business owners need emotional support and lack big picture systems. Many work alone (usually around-the-clock) and risk their health, their livelihood, and burning out. Worse, they potentially risk giving up on their dreams and the impact they are out to make in the World. The pressure can be crushing and most ignore their “real life” stuff, and focus on the business instead.
When you are running your business, it is very hard to do an objective analysis of your own business. We all have our blind spots. We all have emotions. We are all too human. And that is why you need outside eyes to analyze your business.
