My Story:
Life can be very hard and unpredictable. I’ve been able to find peace and ease, but that wasn’t always the case. As a former VP of Operations, running a 7-figure business in the Film & TV Industry, I experienced chronic burnout — as a high achiever, I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and took everything on. Then, one day, very suddenly and very tragically, my Dad was killed. It was completely out of the natural order of things. I was crushed. I experienced a World before, and a World after. Still, I kept at work, I kept taking it all on, and silently suffered as I powered through. You can only do that for so long…
After over a decade of running the company, I gave birth to my son. It gave me the courage to leave the company. It gave me the permission to take a pause. To slooooow down. And to recreate and examine what was important to me. I learned how to ask for help, I sought mentorship, and I did a lot of work on myself.
Looking back, I can see that I was SO “in it”, that It was hard to see how much stress I was managing and how much my career was affecting me. My health and wellbeing were at high risk. It was worse than it looked to the outside world. I was silently suffering and I wasn’t being honest with myself. And then another catastrophic event happened. My brother died. Very tragically. Very suddenly. A feeling all-too-familiar at this point. Talk about blows. Talk about pain. Talk about grief.
But it would soon come to light that these events would give me a strength and a perspective I had never experienced before. I wouldn’t change one thing. My experience at work, taught me everything I needed to know about productivity, efficiency, and people. I was able to zero in on my strong project management skills, work with incredible teams, and 3X the business. My experience with grief, would give me a strength (and access to a World) and a perspective I had never experienced before. It is this combination of on-the-court systems, and deep insight, that gave birth to The Quarterly Design System™. If you are overwhelmed, stuck, and silently suffering, and you don’t have to go it alone, I can help.
“This is your life. It’s up to you to design it. I can help."
